Automotive Service Advisor

About the role:

As our Service Advisor, you’ll be the friendly, knowledgeable “face” of our service department — the trusted guide who turns mechanical jargon into clear options and builds lasting customer relationships. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Greeting customers, listening to their vehicle concerns, and gathering accurate information.
  • Translating technician findings into understandable, transparent repair and maintenance options.
  • Writing detailed repair orders, tracking parts and job status, presenting finalized invoices to the customer and communicating the information accurately.
  • Recommending maintenance services and helping customers make informed decisions

  • A warm, approachable communicator who enjoys helping people. You listen, clarify, and make customers feel valued.
  • Organized and detail-driven. You juggle multiple tasks, manage parts/orders/follow-ups, and write accurate repair orders using shop software.
  • Sales-minded but ethical. You believe in educating customers, not pressuring them; you build trust for long-term retention.
  • A team player and problem-solver. You bridge communication between techs, parts, and customers — and help keep the shop running smoothly.
  • Professional, reliable, and integrity-driven. You show up on time, dress appropriately, and protect our reputation with honesty and accountability.
  • Experienced (preferred, but not mandatory). Ideally you’ve worked as a service advisor, writer, customer-service professional, or have a mechanical/automotive experience.
  • Willing to participate in training. Online training is a requirement. As well as occasionally travelling to training events
